Each clove is a flower bud, hand-picked while still tightly closed and just turning from green to pink, then dried in the sun until it darkens into the clove you know.
Grown in the hill gardens of Kandy, Matale, and Kegalle, Ceylon cloves are known for a higher oil content than cloves from other origins, giving a deeper, more concentrated aroma. Every batch is bought directly from the farming families who grow it, and can be traced back to the estate it left.
